Your Fitness Check, Start to Finish

The Fitness Check is a scored part of your challenge. You take it twice, a Baseline Fitness Check near the start of your challenge and a Final Fitness Check near the end, so that the two can be set side by side and you can see what your training over the challenge actually did.

Short version: do the physical tests first, with a stopwatch and someone to count. Then open Fitness Check > Enter Results and type the numbers in. It takes about a minute once you have them.

Where it lives

Open Fitness Check in the left menu. It holds two entries:

  • Enter Results is the form you fill in.
  • View Results is where your Baseline and Final Fitness Checks are compared.

The two windows

Your organizer sets a date range for the Baseline Fitness Check and another for the Final Fitness Check. The form only opens inside one of those ranges. Outside them the page tells you the Fitness Check is closed and shows you the dates, so there is nothing to fix and nothing to report.

Check the Challenge Info card on your dashboard, or ask your organizer, for those dates at the start of the challenge. The windows are usually about a week each, and leaving it to the final evening is the single most common way people miss one.

Before you open the form

The form records numbers; it does not time anything for you. Have ready:

  • a stopwatch or your phone timer
  • a partner to count repetitions, which is far more accurate than counting for yourself
  • a tape measure or sit and reach box if your challenge uses the flexibility test
  • a measured route if your challenge uses a timed walk or run

Warm up properly and treat it as a real test. The numbers you record here are the baseline the whole challenge is measured against.

Filling it in

Personal information comes first. Your age is filled in for you from the date of birth on your profile and cannot be typed over; if it is wrong, correct your profile and the form follows. You choose your height and your weight, and eFit works out your body mass index from them.

The tests come next. Which ones you see depends on what your organizer selected for your challenge, so your form may hold push-ups, crunches, a plank hold, a sit and reach, a timed walk or run, or some combination. Every field is a dropdown, so there is nothing to format.

Enter honest numbers. An inflated Baseline Fitness Check makes your Final Fitness Check look like a decline, which defeats the purpose of taking it.

Save your receipt

The entry form says this at the top and it is worth repeating. After you submit, the receipt page offers you a PDF. Save it or print it. It is your record of exactly what you entered and when, and it is what settles any later question about your submission.

Reading your results

View Results gives each measure its own card: your Baseline figure, your Final figure, the percentage between them, and a chart. Improvements show as a positive change, and for body weight and body mass index a decrease shows as a negative number, which for most people is the direction they were aiming for.

Until you have taken the Final Fitness Check the second column has nothing in it, so the change reads as meaningless for most of the challenge. That is expected and it fills in as soon as your Final Fitness Check is submitted.

If something is wrong

  • The form says it is closed and you think it should be open. Check the dates on your Challenge Info card first. Your organizer owns the windows and can adjust them.
  • You entered a number wrongly. Tell your organizer. They can correct an entry; support cannot change your Fitness Check data.
  • Your results screen is empty after you submitted. Make sure the challenge selected at the top of your left menu is the one you took the Fitness Check for. Results are held per challenge, so a different challenge shows a different, possibly empty, set.
  • Your age is wrong. Fix the date of birth on your profile, then reload the form.
