Your organizer sets a start date and an end date for activity tracking in your challenge. That stretch of days is your tracking window, and it is the only period eFit counts toward your Activity Score.
Why this matters
The most common version of "my tracker is connected but eFit shows nothing" turns out to be a challenge that has not started counting yet. You spend fifteen minutes connecting a tracker, the dashboard still reads zero, and the natural conclusion is that the connection failed. The connection worked.
Where to find your dates
- Your organizer. Your organizer sets and maintains these dates, so they hold the authoritative copy.
- Your dashboard. The Challenge Info card lists Challenge Starts and Challenge Ends under Key Dates.
- Activity Data. Open Activity Data in the left menu under MY CHALLENGE. The day-by-day table lists every day in your window, first to last, so the first row is your start date and the last row is your end date.
What counts and what does not
- Days inside the window count toward your Activity Score.
- Days before the start date do not count, however many steps you walked.
- Days after the end date do not count.
- Today usually fills in overnight, so the current day sitting empty is normal. See Refresh My Activity if you want to pull it sooner.
Connect before the window opens
Connecting early is the right move. When eFit first links to your account it imports what Google Health already holds back to your challenge start date, so a tracker connected in week zero has your opening days covered. A tracker connected three weeks late can only bring back what your phone actually recorded and kept.
The one thing that genuinely loses data is never opening the Google Health app on your phone, because the phone only uploads while that app runs. See Open the Google Health App Regularly.
Reading your Activity Score inside the window
Open Activity Score in the left menu. The weekly breakdown covers the weeks that have elapsed inside your window. A week still in progress shows a partial figure and moves as the rest of the week arrives, which is why a score checked on a Monday looks different by Friday. The full explanation is in Understanding Your Weekly Activity Score.
If the dates look wrong
Your organizer owns these dates, and only they can change them. If your window ends before your challenge does, or starts after your challenge began, tell your organizer. If you missed days inside the window for a documented reason such as illness or injury, ask your organizer about excused dates: see Understanding Your Weekly Activity Score for how excused days are handled.
