Paying for eFit

eFit charges a one-off fee of $25 for the challenge, taken during registration. How the fee is handled depends on your organization, so read the part that matches how your challenge is set up.

Some organizations cover eFit for everyone

If your organization has an arrangement with eFit, you never reach the payment step at all. Registration finishes and your account is active immediately. If other participants are being asked to pay and you are not, everything is working as intended.

If you were given an access code

Some organizations provide eFit with an access code that settles the fee. On the payment step there is a small link above the payment buttons that reads Do you have a promo code?. It is closed until you select it, so it is easy to miss. Select it, type your code into the box, and eFit checks it as you go. A full-access code activates your account straight away and there is nothing to pay. You can then sign in at challenge.efit.health with the username and password you just created. A discount code lowers the amount, and you pay the reduced price through the same buttons.

A few things to know about codes:

  • Four or eight characters, letters and numbers only. No spaces, no dashes.
  • Codes are not case sensitive, and any punctuation you type is ignored.
  • Some are single use, which means the first person to enter one consumes it.
  • Some are tied to an organization or a specific challenge. A code from a different challenge can be rejected for yours, and that is the code working correctly.
  • Codes can carry an expiry date, and can be switched off by whoever issued them.

"That code is not valid"

eFit gives the same answer for several situations, so work through them in order:

  1. Check the characters. Zero and the letter O, and one and the letter l, account for a good share of rejected codes. Retype it by hand; pasting often carries the wrong character along.
  2. Check it is yours. A code issued for another organization or another challenge will not apply to your registration.
  3. Check it has not been used. Single-use codes work once. If a code was shared around a group chat, someone else may already have spent it.

If all of that checks out and it still will not take, open a ticket with the code, your username, and the challenge you are registering for.

I paid but my account is still inactive

Give it a few minutes and sign out and back in. Payment confirmation arrives from the payment provider on its own schedule, so it can land shortly after the page finishes, and eFit also sweeps for payments that completed without activating.

If you are still locked out after that, open a ticket with your username, the date, and the transaction or receipt number from your payment confirmation email. That number is what lets us match your payment to your account.

I paid, and my organization already covered eFit

If you paid the fee and then learned that your organization already covered your eFit access, open a ticket with your eFit username, the date you paid, and the amount. These are looked at case by case, and the sooner one arrives the more straightforward it is to sort out.

The challenge fee and eFit Ongoing are separate

The $25 fee covers your challenge. eFit Ongoing is a separate, optional subscription you may be offered when your challenge ends, so that your Activity Scores, badges and history stay available and you can keep tracking afterwards. You never need eFit Ongoing to complete your challenge, and paying your challenge fee does not sign you up for it.
